The Commercial Planning Forum, which is part of Wanda’s second “Spring of Fashion Week”, was held at Wanda Institute in Langfang, Hebei Province on May 18, 2013.
Jointly hosted by Wanda Institute, Wanda Commercial Planning & Research Institute and the group’s Corporate Culture Department, the forum aims to show how to bring fashion and culture elements into commercial design and planning.
This year’s forum features a larger scale with more than 1,000 participants including Chen Ping and Yang Yue, vice-presidents of Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co Ltd, as well as more than 40 other high-level official of Wanda Group, 80 guests and 300 design suppliers.
Yang spoke highly of the role the forum played in promoting communication within the commercial design and planning industry.
Director of US Green Building Council’s China District Cheng Naili, KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten Executive Partner Johannes Reinsch, Gensler’s Global Vice President Xia Jun and other distinguished guests addressed the forum.
A number of experts made speeches at the forum in the morning and five sub-forums in the afternoon with the themes of Construction and Green Development, Environment Art, Cultural Tourism, Commerce, and Soul.
In the evening participants enjoyed a buffet reception, a gala and a lighting show.
The forum also announced 27 prizes for design suppliers. A total of 143 design companies, include China Architecture Design & Research Group, Architecture Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Architectural Design Institute of China Academy of Building Research, and top overseas design companies such as KSP, Gensler, HPP and Blink, attended the forum to showcase their latest techniques and material.
This year’s “Spring of Fashion Week” will lasts for 9 days from May 18 to 27, presenting 30 speeches, 16 seminars and 10 lectures talking about how to fuse commercial design and planning with fashion and culture. The event reached a leading level in the world in terms of its perspective, depth and scope.
