The design of the project is embedded with Guangxi local culture. It imported the world's most advanced large entertainment facilities. The five holiday hotels will be build along the Lijiang River while the bar street will feature more than 20 famous bar brands from China and abroad. The yacht dock will have 10 berths.

The Guilin Wanda Cultural Tourism City will begin construction in the second half of 2014 and open to the public in 2017. Upon completion, it will create 20,000 job opportunities and contribute over 400 million yuan per year in taxes with expected annual revenue of 3 billion yuan.

The Guilin Wanda Cultural Tourism City will accelerate the transformation and progression of the tourism industry in Guilin and even the whole Guangxi, raising Guilin to a world-famous cultural tourism city with world-class cultural, tourism and commercial facilities, said Wang Jianlin at the ceremony.
