Jun 30,2014
Wanda was recognized as China's most valuable real estate brand, as well as one of the Top 10 Privately-owned Chinese Brands by the 2014 Hurun Brand List published on June 26th.
It is the first time that Wanda, whose brand value surged 140% from last year, has surpassed Vanke and taken the top spot on the real estate industry list.
Out of the 200 brands, 105 of them have seen their value increase and 89 have seen it fall. The total brand value of these brands rose 13 percent to reach over 3.17 trillion yuan, half of which is taken up by the top 10 brands.
Rupert Hoogewerf, chairman and chief researcher of the Hurun Report, said privately-owned Chinese brands have demonstrated more creativity than the State-owned ones. About half of the 200 surveyed companies are privately-owned, whose average brand value has increased about 80 percent year-on-year to reach 12.5 billion yuan.
